Gingivitis is an inflammatory disease in which the above symptoms occur within only the soft tissues (the gums).

Periodontitis is a disease in which there are the same symptoms as in gingivitis, but there is already a loss of bone tissue around the teeth.

Delayed  and untreated forms of these diseases lead to tooth loss and reduced bone tissue, that significantly complicates the treatment process.

Treatment of periodontitis is more difficult and longer. It also depends on the degree of the disease. We perform scaling and root planing with zone-specific Hu-Friedy curettes. If necessary, treatment is comleted with surgery in the later stages of the disease.

The additional and final  method of treatment of periodontitis is Vector therapy. Under the influence of ultrasonic vibrations and fluid based on hydroxyapatite calcium carbonate Vector helps to smooth the surface of the tooth root and helps reduce inflammation.
